PARENTING PARENTS ARE RELATIONSHIP WITH THE INCIDENCE OF TEMPER TANTRUM IN PRESCHOOL CHILDREN AGED 3-6 YEARS

In Indonesia, toddlers who usually experience temper tantrums occur within one year, 23-83% of children aged 2 t0 4 years have experienced temper tantrums. The cause of temper tantrums often occurs because children feel frustrated with their situation. Temper tantrums occur in children who are a bit shy, feel less confident, anxious, and afraid when they meet strangers. Temper tantrums can slow the development of language knowledge and hear about interfering with the central nervous system. This study aimed to determine the relationship between parenting styles and the incidence of temper tantrums in preschool children aged 3-6 years in Karungo Village, Biaro District, Siau Island Regency Tagulandang Biaro. The research design used in this study was a descriptive-analytic design with a correlational research type with a cross-sectional approach. The population is 96; the samplestaken are 50, namely parents who have preschool children aged 3-6 years in Karungo Village, Biaro District, Siau Island Regency Tagulandang Biaro. The data analysis is used in univariate and bivariate analysis. The results show that there is nosignificant relationship between parenting styles and the incidence of temper tantrums in preschool children aged 3-6 years inKarungo Village with p-value = 0.063 where value >= 0.05 H0 is accepted and H1 is rejected. There is no significant relationship between parenting style and the incidence of temper tantrums in preschool children aged 3-6 years in Karungo Village.Downloads
